Job Description
Scouts SA is seeking a hands-on Corporate Accountant to capture financial results and deliver monthly reporting across the business. This is a key role responsible for preparing accurate and timely month and year-end results, supporting budgeting/forecasting and management of cashflows.
Working closely with business managers and volunteer leaders, the successful applicant will be self-motivated, have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail, with a continuous improvement mindset. The role offers variety, impact and will take responsibility for maintaining finance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare month end reporting including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
Prepare monthly financial analysis and commentary for variances
Partner with business managers and volunteer leaders on finance processes
Maintain finance systems (including Oracle NetSuite)
Support budget and forecasting process for whole of business
Manage operating cash position
Prepare investment capture and reporting
Support AP / AR processing
Problem solve and provide solutions for financial queries
Prepare year-end reporting including reconciliations
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Monitoring and build-on existing financial controls
Support financial compliance requirements i.e. GST, FBT
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
Degree in Commerce/Accounting, with CAANZ/CPA studying or completed desirable
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals
Experienced in financial reporting and budgeting
Comprehensive understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance
Experience with Finance systems (Oracle NetSuite desirable)
Independently motivated, with a flexible approach and positive attitude
Proactive and continuous improvement mindset
